
Cynthia began to concentrate in ernest on her art after retiring from a positon as a account executive for a well known European International Airline. She began her art education at age 14, by winning a scholarship to the Museum of Fine Art School in Houston. She went on to complete her formal studies in Fine Art at the University of Houston and the University of Texas in Austin. Cynthia has also studied privately with many nationally known Plein Air artists such as Dan Shultz, Scott Christensen, Kevin Macphearson, and Frank Serrano.
Her charming portraits of children, pets and executives are in homes across the country. Since moving to Colorado in 2004 she has combined a love of the outdoors and art in Plein Air landscape painting. Cynthia's work has been shown as part of the High Plein Air Arts Festival sponsored by the Denver Golden Triangle Museum District, as well as in numerous galleries in Denver, Colorado Springs, and Pueblo, Colorado and at Southwest Gallery in Dallas, Texas.
Cynthia is a member of The Plein Air Artists of Colorado (PAAC) and The American Impressionist Society and Oil Painters of America.
